Spring 2013 Certified Yoga Teacher Training with Wendy Dahl, E-RYT and Adam Braun, E-RYT
The BSY Teaching Training Program is aligned with the original teachings of yoga where the practice transcends the mat by viewing our daily life as a laboratory in which to embody and affirm the 8-limbed path. The training will begin with an in-depth study of the history and philosophies of yoga. You will immediately be inspired and supported to develop a yogic lifestyle represented in every pose of your life. You will begin sharing, offering and teaching from the first step. Through this program you will build the courage to ask the questions of your heart, develop the receptivity to listen, grow the strength to speak your truth and feel well versed in complimenting a variety of teaching methodologies with your authentic offering of vinyasa flow yoga.
A deeper commitment to the study of your self and to the path of yoga will be cultivated through the exploration of:
Asana-Pranayama-Vinyasa Flow Sequencing-Meditation-Adjusting-Assisting-Ethics-Philosophy-Accommodating ALL populations-Anatomy and Physiology-Sanskrit-Lifestyle choices-The Universal Principles of Alignment-Restorative and Gentle Yoga-Home Practice.
The program will include comprehensive mentorship and support by Wendy and Adam to assist you in your personal journey. This training will encourage you to discover, remember and celebrate your personal blessings and all that you have to offer. It is appropriate for yoga teachers, those preparing to teach yoga and those wanting to make a deeper commitment to self-exploration and discovery. We all have something to offer, allow the BSY Teacher Training Program to support you in remembering and sharing your gifts!
WHAT MAKES THIS TRAINING UNIQUE?
The BSY Teacher Training Program is all about you. We will travel down this path together, not to mold you into something you are not, but to support you in becoming more fully yourself. The training will offer you multiple hands-on opportunities to practice and affirm the 8-limbed path. We are whole-heartedly committed to assisting you on your journey of self-exploration and discovery, as well as guiding you to develop a disciplined and healing personal practice.
Yoga is one of the few physical practices that honors our bodies unique and dynamic needs through all of the stages in our lives. In this training we will address the entire spectrum of embodiment so that you can make yoga a life long practice and share the gifts of yoga with everyone, regardless of age or physicality. You will learn how to integrate yoga into your daily life in order to find clarity, balance and true healing.
About Wendy Dahl: I stepped onto the mat for the first time in 1994 to enhance my dance training by cultivating balance, strength, and flexibility. I soon realized that Yoga is the way to transform each moment of our lives into an auspicious journey. The practice inspired so much benevolence in my heart that I dedicated myself and my life to a disciplined practice several years later.
I am deeply grateful to the many teachers who have shared their light and support as my unique style of Vinyasa Flow Yoga continually evolves and grows. My teachings reflect the philosophies of Krishnamacharya, the alignment principles and self-affirming celebrations of Anusara Yoga, the spirit and power of moving with the breath, connecting on a deeper level to one's self by embracing community, and dedication to refining and modifying the experience on the mat through therapeutic compassion for each student’s personal journey. I combine my training and experience of yoga therapeutics, AcroYoga, thai body work, and vinyasa flow so that each student will be compassionately supported and empowered to have a full experience!
About Adam Braun: After “floating” out of my very first yoga class I knew that I had found exactly what I was looking for…a path to Self Realization! The body mind and soul transformation that I experienced after just a single class had awakened a dormant energy lying deep with in me and it was hungry for more! In fact, this awakening was so powerful, that with in 2 months of my very first yoga class I enrolled in the 2002 teacher training program at the Temple of Kriya Yoga.
I was trained in classical Hatha Yoga and studied in the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition, Ayurvedic Medicine, Vedic Astrology and Therapeutic Martial Arts. The combination of these ancient and profound practices influence the heart and soul of my teachings. Utilizing postures and movement to develop awareness, strength and flexibility of the body. Breathing practices and meditation to bring peacefulness and tranquility to the mind and deep spiritual psychology to illuminate ones life path creates a powerful transformative process bringing the body, mind and soul into beautiful harmony!
