These are areas of consideration & how we can help:
***How you can create the most happy, healthy pregnancy
***What an empowered birth means and what it takes to achieve that
***The choices you have and how those affect you and your baby
***Real life stories from parents who have just recently delivered
***How TBY's yoga and childbirth classes can support you during this time
Understanding Childbirth Class
Please join us in exploring the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of childbirth. In this 6-week class for mom & dad (or another support person), you will learn to be active & aware participants in your birth.
We will help you prepare now for what’s ahead of you and how to make those experiences what you want them to be. Topics to be included: nutrition, relaxation & exercise during pregnancy, stages of labor including emotional & physical signs, comfort measures and preparing your partner to be a good coach. You will develop an understanding of what is happening with your baby and with mom’s body during childbirth so you can more confidently approach that experience.
We promise that you’ll finish the class feeling more relaxed & prepared for your upcoming birth than when you started.

Your Pre-natal Instructor Rachel Dewan
Rachel Dewan, RYT, Anusara Inspired
Rachel Dewan is a Registered Yoga Teacher with 500 hours of training, recently completing her second training in the Anusara style with Todd Norian. She has this to say about her practice & teaching: I found yoga 10 years ago as a performing musician with the physical aches & pains that accompany such physically demanding work, and soon embraced it as a way of life. Yoga has become a path of learning that has helped to shape my life in all aspects, reminding me to open to the power of grace in every moment. It is my ultimate goal as a teacher to cultivate a sense of community in my classes, bring a sense of lightness and joy to my students through an ever expanding and playful asana practice, and help them to realize their own individual and divine nature. I would like to honor and thank my teacher Todd Norian for his unconditional support, and for giving me the gift of an open and loving heart.
